Cancellation Policy

Consistency and commitment are essential to reach your treatment goals. If you need to cancel and or reschedule your appointment you must do so 24 hours prior to your appointment. If we do not answer your phone call, please leave a message to cancel (760) 699-7888. I’m an understanding person and know making and keeping appointments can be hard for some people. If it’s a last minute ooopsy, lets convert the session to a phone or video session.

After 2 no shows, the therapist has the right to void the therapeutic agreement and services can/will be terminated. Prior to termination your therapist will give you a warning regarding your attendance.
$75.00 will be charged for no show appointments (except for Medicaid clients) and if paid, future sessions can be scheduled.

Good Faith Estimate

This Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created and does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

Risk & Benefits of Treatment

Psychotherapy is a process in which we discuss a myriad of issues, events, experiences (positive and negative), and memories for the purpose of creating desired change. This allows clients to experience life more fully, authentically, and provides tools to navigate to your mental health or wellness. It can provide an opportunity to deal and heal from past traumas, and everyday life adversities to ultimately feel better and define what happiness is to you.

Psychotherapy is a joint effort between the client(s) and the therapist. Progress and success may vary depending upon what issues the client would like to discuss; as well as many other factors including client self-determination.

Participating in therapy may result in a number of benefits, including, but not limited to, reduced stress and anxiety, increased ability to relate to others, a decrease in negative thoughts, improved interpersonal relationships, increased social activation in social and family settings, increased capacity for intimacy, increased motivation, and increased self-confidence.

Such benefits are dependent on the client, and your readiness for change. There is no guarantee that therapy will yield such results, but you are worth the “try”.

Participating in therapy may also involve some discomfort, including remembering and discussing unpleasant events, feelings, and experiences. It can bring up intense feelings of sadness, anger, fear, loneliness, etc.

There may be times in which clients’ perceptions and assumptions are challenged, and different perspectives offered. The issues presented by clients may result in unintended or intended outcomes, including changes in personal relationships. Self determination means you are empowered to make decisions that promote YOUR mental health and wellness. This is your life’s journey, you deserve happiness.
